Cyclostan Public Enemy NUmber One

I hereby officially name gaint flaming douche bag Rob Anderson Cyclostan Public Enemy number one. Read this Wall Street Jurnal Article to learn why Ron Anderson sucks. And for that matter so does the Wall Street Journal. There just another right wing republican mouth piece, but that's a topic for another post.

But Rob Anderson has so many people that agree with his position (he posted the comments on his blog); he got all those votes in his last bid for public office! He must be right and everyone else must be wrong...

i dont get it. you say WSJ is a republican RW mouthpiece. i thought WSJ loves the annointed one, O.
and this rob anderson is a dork, it sounds as if he's an extreme liberal dork, reading his history protesting the vietnam war, etc. and he lives in SF. how leftie is that ??

Newscorp look them up. And don't be swayed by a few articles here and there. Its the wall street agenda overall. Hedge funds, the Hampton, shady investment banks. WJS isn't fox news by any standards, but there not that much better. Besides its just trendy to like Obabam now (I'm an Obama supporter and have been for a long time). Everyone knows the Republicans rewind the country & people are gong to start distancing themselves for that, so maybe I should just say there a conservative mouth piece. In allot of ways though its the Big Business on wall street who are running the country with their lobbyist, and the republicans give them what they want. And honestly, does their endorsement really mean anything, People have a lot of different motives for what they do, Ann Coulter supported Hillary Clinto what do you think that really meant?

And yes Rob is a leftie, and there's allot of fuckin crazy lefties.

Anderson has taken a dislike to cycling as transportation, he does not believe cycling can work as there will always be motor traffic and that sharing the road will limit capacity for for motor vehicles. He doesn't know this, he can't prove it, but it is what he believes.

His response to the inroads of cycling as transportation is reactionary and obstructionist. By not testing his beliefs vis cycling facilities and by forcing the burden on to the city he avoids a real debate of his position and waste the taxpayers money.

He is a true conservative standing in the tide of change yelling stop.

Opposition to Vietnam was not solely a left position. To understand a person's (or editorial board's) political position you have to look at their motivations and justifications.

If you're going to use terminology from the 18th century, at least try to use it correctly: "right wing" is the the portion of the (mind you French) parliament in full support of the hereditary monarch. Thus "right wing" and "republican" are inherently oxymoronic. QED.

Also, you got trolled by the WSJ? Haha!

The man is a total nut-bag coming way out of left field. He isn't a republican for sure and the article uses a mocking tone to show the idiocy of what Mr. Anderson is saying. Erik K. I thought you had more sense than this and your comment sounds like you are nothing more than a self-righteous, original obama-loving, conspiracy theorist.

Norman,

When the Republican party (G.O.P.) refers to itself as the right wing of American political thought and ideology then regardless of the historical roots of the phrase the Republican Party is 'right wing'.

The 'right wing' of 1789 was the more conservative nobles and the church. The King was in a more centric position hoping to preserve some of his power as the French constitution was developed. The "Right wing" was working to undermine the National Assembly's constitutional work and preserve their prerogatives (lost in August), this put them at odds with the King.
