Been in Massachusetts

After a fairly hectic travel day, I arrived in Boston Massachusetts.
When I go to my parents house, I found
my old street looking like this:
Which was nice because it felt quite festive. Unfortunately though I lacked any serious winter ridding gear and haven't been able to go for a ride in over a week.

I did however take a trip back up to
Boston and did some exploring.
There were of course messengers.

And old snow covered buildings

There were bikes in Cambridge, which
seemed to be delivering food.

And there were also bikes, that seemed
to not be doing anything at all.

While there I also visited Cambridge Bicycle

A shop which carries all manner of single speed bicycles
and also seems to be hoarding areospokes.

We quickly poped into a Chines food market, where I happened to notice a glaring health code violation.
Even though I haven't been able to ride my bike, I was lucky enough to score a sweet winter time surf session. And as this photo proves it impossible to look cool in a winter wetsuit.

My girlfriend and I also stumbled into a time warp somewhere in a suburb outside Boston and then went bowling. Good times, I've still got another week of vacation and there is some snowboarding in my near future. I might even post something next week. Until then happy new year!

Traveling

Heading to the east coast, for the holidays. Next post... well I don't know when ever I feel like it.

Rocket Fuel Cycling

One of my readers, Susan just sent me a a link to her website Rocket Fuel.au. Rocket Fuel Cycling caps are hand made from a mix of recycled, reused, vintage and new materials. Many styles are exclusive editions of one, while others are of limited editions. I have to say Im digging em, but I would definitely like to see some more mens styles, because the ones they do have are very cool.

"You love your bike and you like to look good, or at least attempt to anyway. With a Rocket Fuel Cycling cap you can say 'yes I am wearing a business suit, but on my bike I can drop you so hard you'll wish you never got out of bed, and what's more I'll look good doing it."- Rocket Fuel.au

White Industries fixed gear hub

If you have ever striped the threading on a cog on a fixie then you know why this is a good idea.

More goodies from Ibis

This proto type Ibis hakalugi frame, came into the shop with two tubular tires, hanging off the rims. Totally over the top flat bar cross bike spec, some how the mt bike parts on this bike seem to make sense.

Weekend photo recap

I love the look of this L'eroica jersey, but when I brushed against it with my finger my skin shuddered at the thought of wearing it. Very rough and itchy feeling wool, but I guess that's kinda the point

They also make some nice looking bar tape, which you could sport while racing L'eroica.
