Congrats
Just because Bicycling magazine kinda sucks now, doesn't mean they have to stay that way forever. I hope that one day they will become a more prominent voice for bicycle advocacy and change in the way American society looks at and uses bicycles. Plus they've got a new editor, hopefully she's got some more big changes in store. One thing that I'm sure wont change though, is Bikesnob will continue to kill it. Putting all other bike, bloggers / authors to shame.

maybe you'll get some side work
published?
dude, seriously that would be sweet. And while I would never consider charging bikesnob for anything, I would totally send an invoice to bicycling magazine.
That's a sweet looking cover erik.
Come on, adding BikeSnob does not make that sad rag any more appealing. I can read the Snob daily on the web rather than wait for a monthy publication that is woefully lacking in any substance. Unfortunatly they try to cover too many aspects of cycling, but do not do any one particular aspect well. So in the end they cater to the crowd that is looking for something to read before a four hour flight.
frankielof... like I said I hope this is a sign of further improvement to come. but only time will tell, I Just hope that America's leading cycling mag will not always suck. try reading some British mags like say cycling pluss. Which is a sort of model for what Bicycling could be.
...go ahead, 'bicycling'...just once, live a little & please just fucking do it...use that cover...use that cover...use that cover...
...do i sense a groundswell of support ???...
erik k,
Cycling + is the magazine Bicycling ought to be. Cycling + tackles the cycling magazine number one task -selling cycling stuff- with low keyed, down to earth, in depth, real world approach which 'gee if we weren't covering bikes we'd be Playboy - Bicycling doesn't get.
Veloben
...truth is, 'bicycling' is a "lifestyle" type of magazine...
...in a sense, i can't fault them for that, in that they are probably the premier 'introductory' vehicle for a lotta new folks coming into cycling...ergo, the same basic type of "cycling - 101" articles are rehashed over & over throughout the years...
...rodale press oughta do a second magazine..."bicycling 2::: the hardcore shit", for those of us a little more into it...
Pretty big typo on the cover though....
typo?
All you haters [can] suck my balls....
No 'can'.....
ahh.. hahah i kept looking for a misspelling. but hey that's why I try to stick to photo shop. the problem for me is it still reads without the "can"
