Heading East

In an effort to avoid the pre-thanksgiving holiday travel insanity, I've taken off Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday and I'm flying out tonight, so I'm on vacation and I'm not sure how much, if at all I'll be posting next week. Untill next time, enjoy staring at this giant head of Eddy Murphy.

Evil's New Bike

I posted Christian (aka Evil) bike a while back. He has since moved on, and managed to build what might be the heaviest size small Cervelo SLC ever.

I've have been the proud owner of a BSNYC/RTMS 100% Cotton Wednesday Afternoon Lounging Smock (no Scothguard) for only a couple of days now, but all-ready the shirt has demonstrated the depths of its powers. Precisely two days after receiving the shirt, I have become the proud owner of a brand new custom built Swobo Sanches. I think this makes sense, bike snob himself today linked the Swobo lifestyle blog, how to avoid the bummer life. As such I think the shirt attracted the bike to me because it seems to be of a brand which snob view favorably. Regardless I'm stocked because the bike is awesome, and I eagerly await what other gifts and good fortune ownership of the shirt may bring.

A package from Bikesnob

I had been eagrly anticipating the arrival of this package for a couple days. So when I opened my mail box to find it stuffed inside I was nearly giddy with excitement. I am now the proud owner of one BSNYC/RTMS 100% Cotton Wednesday Afternoon Lounging Smock (no Scothguard) and as I have learned in the last two weeks that make me part of an exclusive group of cylists who's members include Lance Armstrong, and Fat Cyclist. This is rembarkable realy because I am neither a professional road road racer or top cycling blogger.
Unlike Fat Cyclist I do plan to wear the jersey though. Here's a picture of me wearing it, it fit quite nicely actually. Bike snob clearly sparred no expense when creating his ceremonial lounging smock. I do plan to wear it. I am however somewhat apprehensive, as I fear it may wield some sort of great untold power over me. Like a real life JRR Tolkin manuscript, but with lots of cycling and irony.
In fact Bikesnob himself has already alluded to this:

"Incidetally, Armstrong did win both the ITT and the TTT, though with regard to his ITT victory he said he was only "moderately pleased" and that he "wasn't ecstatic." I like to think that the shirt confered upon him the power to find something negative in a positive situation."
